Overview
The Strategy Completion Report helps you identify which one-pagers are fully filled out and which still have gaps. It analyses each one-pager for missing titles, empty mandatory fields, and structural gaps in the pillar/initiative tree, giving you a clear picture of how ready your strategy documentation is.
For one-pagers with empty mandatory fields, you can expand the row to see the exact list of fields that need filling in, and click any entry to jump straight to it on the one-pager.
Where to find it
Top nav → Manage → Completion Report.
Required Permission: Users need the reports:view permission to access this report. This permission is assigned to both admin roles and the one-pager-owner role, so anyone who owns a one-pager can access reports.
Data Visibility
What you see in the report depends on your role:
- Admins (users with
enterprises:managepermission) see data for all one-pagers across the organization. - One-Pager Owners see data only for their owned subtree — the one-pager(s) they own plus all descendants. If you own multiple one-pagers, a dropdown lets you switch between subtrees.
- No Ownership — if you have
reports:viewbut don't own any one-pagers, you'll see an empty state prompting you to contact your admin.
Understanding Completeness Checks
Each one-pager is checked for the following issues:
| Check | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Missing Title | The one-pager has no title set |
| Empty Mandatory Fields | Any field marked mandatory in the Template Editor has a blank or whitespace-only value (or is missing entirely). Inactive fields are excluded. By default L0 requires Purpose, Vision, Mission and Company Ambition; L1/L2 require Team Ambition; L3 has no top-level mandatory fields. Pillar names, initiative names, and initiative goals also default to mandatory at every level, so unnamed pillars/initiatives and goalless initiatives appear here. Admins can change any of these per level. |
| Empty Pillars | The one-pager has no pillars defined |
| Pillars Without Initiatives | One or more pillars have no initiatives |
Each check shows one of three statuses:
- ✓ (green) — OK, no issue found
- ✗ (red) — Direct issue on this one-pager
- n/a (red) — Issue inherited from a cascaded (parent) item
A one-pager is Complete when all checks pass, and Incomplete when any check fails.
Interpreting the Report
Summary Overview
The top-level table shows completeness aggregated by organizational level:
- Level — Organizational level (L0, L1, L2, etc.)
- # OPs — Count of one-pagers at this level
- Issue columns — How many one-pagers at this level have each type of issue (color-coded: green for 0, red for any)
Level Details
Below the summary, each level expands into:
- Total Issues — Sum of all issues at this level
- Complete / Incomplete One-Pagers — Quick count of fully complete vs. incomplete
- Individual One-Pager Status — Table listing each one-pager with its author, per-check status indicators, and an overall Complete/Incomplete badge
Drilling into Empty Mandatory Fields
When the Empty Mandatory Fields cell shows a count (e.g. 3 missing), the row gets a chevron toggle. Clicking it expands a list of every empty mandatory field on that one-pager — with an indexed label like Pillar 1 → Initiative 2 → Goal (picture of success) so you can tell sibling fields apart. Each entry is a link that opens the one-pager and jumps straight to the field that needs filling in.
Best Practices
For Strategy Leaders
- Pre-launch check — Run the completion report before activating a new strategy version to catch missing content
- Focus on red levels — Prioritize levels with the most issues
- Track progress — Re-check periodically as teams fill in their one-pagers
For One-Pager Owners
- Review your subtree — Use the report to see which one-pagers under your responsibility still need attention
- Address direct issues first — Fix issues marked with ✗ before worrying about cascaded (n/a) ones
- Complete mandatory fields — Missing mandatory fields and missing titles are the most common gaps
Common Use Cases
Strategy Readiness Assessment
Use this report to answer: "Are all one-pagers ready for review?" Filter down to your level and ensure zero incomplete one-pagers before requesting approval.
Onboarding New Teams
When new departments are added, their one-pagers start empty. Track their progress from initial creation to full completion.
Pre-Approval Check
Before moving one-pagers to "finished" status, verify that the completion report shows no structural issues remaining.
